On 25th April 2024, the WCS EU Office launched its manifesto for the 2024 European Elections, calling on candidates for the European Parliament to pledge to support policies that:

1. Protect high-integrity ecosystems, and halt and reverse biodiversity loss globally, including by supporting Indigenous Peoples and local communities
2. Tackle climate change and halt deforestation and forest degradation
3. Support an integrated One Health approach across sectors, including actions to prevent pathogen spillover and future pandemics
4. Stop illegal and unsustainable trade in wildlife, fisheries, and timber
5. Protect the oceans and the marine environment
