CITES CoP17. In August 2016, WCS shared a position statement with all Parties on species and implementation and strategic issues in preparation for the 17th meeting of Conference of Parties (CoP17) to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 24 September to 5 October 2016. WCS also developed several factsheets on Asian elephants, African elephants, and African grey parrots. All the documents can be found here.
