Created in 1948, IUCN is the world’s largest environmental network with 1,300 Member organisations. Through their affiliation with IUCN, Member organisations are part of a democratic process voting resolutions which drive the global conservation agenda.
WCS is a member of IUCN as an international NGO, and actively engages with the IUCN Species Survival Commission, World Commission on Protected Areas, IUCN Council, and the IUCN World Conservation Congress.
The WCS EU Office is based at the IUCN European Regional Office in Brussels.
